What a Year // A Compilation of 2016

The Passed Note is a YA literary magazine

We’ve had a busy year at The Passed Note putting out quality YA short stories and poems for you to enjoy. From the beautiful poetry of Kari Astillero to the heart chilling fiction of Bri Hager; the stunning photography of Ashley Inguanta and the watercolors of Kristin Stazzone; the intricate non-fiction of Nina Chiapetta and Cara Sinicropi, our first two issues have been a huge success. It’s all thanks to our amazing readers. Here are some of our favorite blog posts from throughout this past year.

How Charlie Helped Me Identify My Depression and Anxiety, by Lauren Polo

There is Work to be Done, by Megan Parker

YA and the Manic Pixie Dream Girl, by Stephanie Johnson

Finding Comfort in Horror Novels, by Meg Cannistra

Why We Need YA, by Jeanette Vigliotti

Can’t get enough YA? Here are some reading recommendations for the best of 2016 throughout all of YA.
