Changes at The Passed Note

We are excited to announce a series of changes for The Passed Note – after over six months of deliberation, we have decided to change how often we publish. We are now going to publish one issue a year, as well as a monthly blog post featuring one piece of creative writing.

For all of us, The Passed Note is a labor of love; we are mothers, full-time workers, teachers, students, doctoral candidates. We adore this project, but want to continue it as sustainably as possible. We want to maintain a level of writing and publishing that is innovative and challenging, relatable and stunning. We are so thrilled to enter our fourth year of publication, but feel that the project needs adjustments in order to continue at the same level of quality. Our issue in June, Issue Nine, will be the last of our tri-annual issues. After this, we will publish yearly in June.

As always, we thank our readers and writers, without whom we wouldn’t have had the wonderful eight issues we’ve already shared with the world. We are excited to continue to share wonderful literature and art with you.

In love and literature,

Stephanie R. Johnson
